Gottlieb, Baruch
Son of Yehuda and Tzipora. He was born in Petah Tikva on July 30, 1955. He studied at the She’erit Yisrael elementary school in Jerusalem, where he continued his studies at the vocational training center of Kiryat No’ar in Jerusalem. Baruch was a diligent and talented student and was very successful in his studies. He was very fond of studying Torah and during his high school studies he even joined the Marom Zion Yeshiva in the Beit-Gan neighborhood in Jerusalem. He was a friendly boy and had many friends. Baruch was infused with love of the land and traveled extensively in Merhavia. Baruch was drafted into the IDF in July 1973 and volunteered to serve in the Nahal Brigade. After successfully completing basic training, he went to Shalhat in Kibbutz Hefetz Haim and soon managed to assimilate into the life of the kibbutz and the nucleus, and he became popular with all those around him, and his circle of friends was wide and large. ) Baruch was killed while serving in the Petah Tikva cemetery, and his family set up a charity fund in his memory at the Zechor Chaim synagogue in Petah Tikva.
