Gottesdiener, Nathan
Son of Moshe and Esther. He was born on August 20, 1946 in Tel Aviv. After completing his studies at the Bar-Kochva School in Tel Aviv, he studied for one year at the Hadasim children’s institution. Afterward, he went on to the municipal high school and took the matriculation exams. When he completed his exams, he volunteered for the Nahal Brigade for the group that left for Kibbutz Mashabei Sadeh in the Negev, in July 1965. During his basic training period, his father fell ill and nursed him with devotion and love when he was given a special leave to do so. Nathan was sent to the kibbutz to complete the basic training period, and was enrolled at the Hebrew University in Be’er Sheva, where he was accepted as a regular student, although he was not used to manual labor and was sent to work in the field. The eighth graders in the entire country and in their personal charm acquired the hearts of the young people. A. could not rest until he brought the nuclear sector Youth today called on the name: Nuclear given. After completing this role came out with its nuclear cling-Nahal “Ketsiot” on the Egyptian border. Where he became the center of the landscape and set the goal of turning the wilderness into a corner. At night he kept and worked in the evenings, digging, planting and watering. Once upon a time, an idea came to mind to bring rich soil from the vegetable garden at the foot of the settlement to be planted in the landscape, but when he left in the comandar to fetch this land, he did not return. This was on the 28th of Sivan 5766 (16.6.1966). He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul. A booklet in his memory called “Natan” was published in “thirty” by members of the nucleus and field resources. On the first anniversary of his death, the parents contributed to a garden arrangement in the yard of the Tel Aviv Municipal High School bearing his name. Gilad was also named after him by members of the “Ramot” kibbutz in the “Ketziot” settlement in the Negev.
