Goren, Gal
Ben Roth and Zvi. He was born on February 1, 1972 in Rishon Letzion. He was a successful, handsome and intelligent child, and in his childhood he was defined as gifted. He began his studies at the Shalmon Elementary School, continuing with the Maayan Junior High School and completing a human-social track at the Amal Amit high school in Rishon Letzion. From the age of seven Gal studied at the Gifted School of Tel Aviv University. He excelled in astro-physics, mathematics, computers, and marine biology. Gal was his right-hand man and his father’s good friend and from his youth worked in his father’s catering business. At the beginning of March 1991, Gal was drafted into compulsory military service in the Israel Defense Forces and began basic training, and only ten days after his enlistment on 16 March 1991 he was seriously injured in a road accident and was hospitalized at Soroka Hospital. He was succeeded by his parents, two sisters, Billy and Chen, and two nephews – Stav and Sa’ar, who was born in the army cemetery in Rishon Letzion. Three months after Gal’s death, a memorial wall was erected in the Amal Amit high school where he studied, and two years after Gal’s death, his father Zvi, who could not long for pain, Come on.
