Gordon, Jacob


Son of Chaya and Moshe. He was born in Tel Aviv on October 10, 1918. He studied at the Tel Nordau School and was a favorite of his teachers and educators because of his comfortable temperament, and at the age of thirteen he joined the Mahanot Ha’olim youth movement, Ya’akov continued his studies at the Montefiore Technical High School, but stopped after three years, began working and gave all his wages to the family, and at the age of eighteen participated in a demonstration organized by the Haganah for Hebrew products. And at the age of nineteen he left Tel Aviv and moved to Kibbutz Na’an, and a few months later he was sent by the kibbutz to take over work in Sodom. In the summer of 1939, the Haganah was in Yavniel and on 5.10.1930 was one of the hundreds of members of the course who were caught by the British police. They were brought to trial and sentenced to various prison terms . Jacob was sentenced to ten years. During his time in the Acre prison he used the time to acquire an education and complete his studies. In February 1941 he received a pardon and was released. He began to look for work, and three months later, on May 18, 1941, he left the group of 23 members of the Haganah for the mission of blowing up the refineries in Tripoli, Lebanon. Jacob’s parents and two sisters were left behind in the book “From Our Contents,” in memory of the students of the Tel Nordau School and in the book “Secret Shield.” In an investigation conducted in 2017, Grave Location Addenda Panel Age 22.
