Gora, Israel-Leib (Goren)


He was born in 1914 in Poland and absorbed religious culture and Zionism in his home, and in 1937 he joined the “Hechalutz” youth movement and in 1937 immigrated to Eretz Israel as a member of the movement. “Defense”, very active and active in the Workers’ Council of Rishon LeZion, in the management of the “Hapoel” sports association and in all public and national issues. During the course of operations in the Beit Dagan area, the vehicle on which he was traveling went on a mine, and he was critically wounded. For three days he fought for his life until he died of his wounds on May 31, 1948. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in Rishon Letzion. He left a wife and two sons.
