Good, Elihai (Eli)


Ben Naomi and Shmuel. Born on 28 October 1972 in Rishon Letzion, the eldest son of a family of five, he spent his childhood and youth in Rishon Letzion, where he studied at Habib Elementary School, Aharon Kron Junior High School, Amit was enrolled in compulsory military service in the IDF in mid-March 1991. He volunteered to volunteer for the Samson unit. After fitting, interviewing and consolidation tests, the unit was accepted. Elihai went on to basic infantry training, continued with basic training of the Shimshon unit and at the end received the rank of corporal. According to his commander, Elihai was sent to the command track because he was one of the best and leading personnel in the team, and in October 1992 he was supposed to go to an officers’ course and return to the Shimshon unit to the command staff. (27.8.1992) was killed while carrying out his duties as a pilot during a training course for sergeants in the School for Commanders. He was laid to rest at the military cemetery in Rishon Letzion. Survived by his parents and four brothers – Amiram, Dori, Roi and Aviad. After his fall, Elihai was promoted to the rank of sergeant. In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, the unit commander wrote: “Elihai loved the unit, despite the difficulties and the dangers … He was proud to be one of its soldiers … In all the operations he participated in, Elihai revealed a very high level of professionalism and a personal example, Part of the Samson family.
