In 1995, he immigrated to Israel with his family, who settled in Acre. He continued his studies at the “Galim” youth village in Haifa, where he lived in a boarding school and studied in the immigrant class, and Andrei completed his studies in the biological track with full matriculation and in the year that he remained until his induction he worked with his father in a ceramic factory. He played guitar, wrote and composed songs, and performed them with a few friends from the school. He joined the Border Police at the end of March 2000. He underwent basic training at the Border Guard training base and was trained as a combat soldier. At the end of basic training, he was assigned to serve as a foreign guard in the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron. Andrei was killed in the course of his duty on 20 October 2001. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Nahariya, leaving his parents and sister Maya with the words “The sky is always blue …”.
