Goldweiss, Uri-Fishel


Uri-Fishel, son of Paula and Moshe Goldweiss, was born in 1946 in Germany and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1949. He was drafted into the IDF in early August 1970. After basic training and after completing his training course, he was assigned to field and rear units of the Signal Corps. During his service, he took part in a training course. In 1970 he volunteered for regular army service. His friends in the unit said that he was disciplined and a real pleasure to work with On 29 Iyar, June 19, 1986, Uri-Fishel fell during his service and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Petach Tikva. He left behind a wife, son, mother and brother. After his death he received a certificate of appreciation and respect for his service in the army.
