Goldman, Avraham Yehuda

Avraham Yehuda, son of Sara and Ze’ev Goldman, was born on the 26th of Cheshvan (November 23, 1924) in Tel Aviv. When he was two years old, the family moved to Jerusalem. At the age of 17, he joined the Hagana, where he also sometimes worked in repairing military equipment. He volunteered for the ranks of the Givati ​​Brigade, guarding the borders of Tel Aviv. He worked as a scout and participated in many battles. In the spring, he completed a sabotage course in Sarona and participated in the conquest of Tel Arish and Yazur. At the beginning of the war against the Egyptians, he served as a terrorist in one of the battalions in the bombing of the “Ad Halom” bridge, which contributed to stopping the movement of the Egyptian army, as well as blocking one of the attempts to capture the Iraqi-Suweidan police. Avraham Yehuda was killed by a landmine and buried in the Be’er Tuvia cemetery on the 10th of Tishrei (June 1, 1950) and was taken to eternal rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
