Goldfried, Ilan


Ilan, son of Ada and Yitzhak, was born on March 30, 1954, in Tel Aviv. Ilan was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in early August 1972 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a basic training course in the Patton tank and served as a model for his friends. A few weeks before the outbreak of the war, he began his training in a tank commanders’ course, and during the Yom Kippur War, Ilan took part in the braking battles against the Egyptians on the Sinai front. A tank and Ilan was killed on the spot His body was found and he was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery, leaving a father, a mother and a sister behind him, and he was promoted to the rank of sergeant
