Goldfeld, Zvi

Son of Yitzhak and Tzila. Born on 16.11.1947 in Corrientes, Argentina, he completed his studies in an elementary school and later in a commercial school, and was a member of a Jewish youth movement in his native country, and his parents decided to allow him to immigrate to Israel at the age of sixteen. He was a member of the “Youth Aliyah” group and joined the “Nachshonim” group in Kibbutz Or Hanar, which is the place where immigrants from Argentina settled. During his service in this corps, he called his friends and was one of them. Toward the end of 1968, his parents told him to immigrate to Israel and live with his son. But he was not only waiting for his parents to immigrate, but also for his release from the army. During his service, Zvi showed his cheerfulness, his love for society and the spirit of volunteerism within him. He was a good fighter and loved by all his friends. However, on December 31, 1968, Zvi was killed while performing his duties in the Ras Sudar area of Sinai, when the jeep he was traveling in went on a mine. “I met your son as an excellent soldier and as a good friend among the other soldiers. I discovered his comfortable nose and marveled at his military achievements. He was very active within the unit and accepted by all his friends. His exemplary behavior will teach IDF soldiers and in his brave way will continue to defend their homeland and preserve its security. “
