Goldfarb (Shiffer), David


Son of Miriam and Haim was born on the 5th of Sivan in the city of Staszow, Poland, in 1932. He was a member of the Histadrut and was active in the Haganah. In 1938, he settled with his family in Kiryat Amal (Herutia), and in the days of the events of that period the place suffered greatly but he devoted himself with love and passion to cultivate his land, to protect against the evil. And managed to purge the surrounding area of ​the gangs of murderers and ensure the transport to Kiryat Amal, and participated in the occupation of Waldheim and a number of Arab villages. He completed a military engineering course and participated in various terrorist activities in the conquest of Lod and Ramle and in other operations. On the 24th of Tammuz (31.7.1948), on his way to the Negev, he was killed by a landmine and buried in Ruhama. On the 2nd of Sivan (18.5.1950) he was transferred to the eternal rest of the military cemetery in Haifa.
