Goldenberg, Zalman


Son of Israel. Born in Odessa, Russia, on 18.1.1902 to a rich family, he owned a mansion, was involved in agriculture from his childhood, and was engaged in all the economic activities of the Polish economy. In the Bolshevik revolution his parents were forced to leave Russia and immigrate to Turkey. In 1935 he immigrated to Israel from Bessarabia. On 9.25.1938, on the way from Tel Aviv to Mikvah Israel, Arabs shot at the bus he was traveling in, and Zalman was hit and killed, and he was laid to rest in the Nahalat Yitzhak cemetery.
