On one of his class trips to the Upper Galilee, during high school days, he was the first and best of the merry group, who liked to joke and “paint” the teachers and the manager with shoe polish. Toby was punished and sentenced to go home alone; But he bore his sentence and assumed full responsibility for the actions of the group. At the same time, he always stood on all counts and won good certificates. The Yom Kippur War, two emissaries knocked on the door of the Goldenberg family: a soldier brought Toby joined his unit and said, “When I return from the war, I will continue to work in the industry.” He was sent to the southern front, serving as a tank gunner in the Sinai battles, with courage and devotion to his fellow fighters.
