Goldchevsky, Eliyahu


Son of Jacob. Eliahu was born in 1929 in Poland, and at the age of 10. World War II broke out three years later, when he died of his parents who had been murdered in the Treblinka death camp, and survived the concentration camps of Wolenow, Radom, Tomaszow, Auschwitz and Dachau, until the liberation of Europe by the Americans. After World War II, he decided to immigrate to Israel, and Eliahu did so on an illegal immigrant ship. In 1948, with the establishment of the State of Israel, Eliahu fulfilled his dream and arrived in Eretz Israel, and when he arrived he spent some time in the kibbutz. During his regular service and career service, he served as a military policeman. After his release, Eliyahu joined the Israel Police in 1957. He served in the Israel Police for twenty-five years in a variety of positions. His family describes Elijah as a strong, active, gold-hearted man who extended a helping hand to everything. First Sergeant Eliyahu died of a stroke on his way to work on October 7, 1983. He was fifty-four years old when he died, and was buried in the cemetery in Holon
