Goldberger, Yitzhak (“Itzik”)


Yitzhak, son of Esther and Yerucham HaKohen Goldberger, was born on May 13, 1943, in Kfar Saba. He earned his living as an air conditioning technician; his hobby was radio and photography. Yitzhak was drafted into the IDF in May 1961 and was called up for reserve duty. In this context, he was also present at the outbreak of the Six-Day War, during which he participated as a rifleman, and in the battle that took place at the Mitla Pass in the Lev of Sinai on the fourth day of the battles, he died in the course of enemy fire, on 29 Iyar, 8.6.1967. He put down a wife. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Kiryat Shaul.
