Goldberg, Isaiah (“Shaya”, “Shika”, “Shiki”)


Son of Avraham and Chaya. Born in the city of Bad Reichenl in Germany in 1949. After the establishment of the State of Israel in 1949, the family immigrated to Israel, where he completed his elementary studies and then enrolled in the vocational high school “Shevach” He was a member of the Scouts movement and was a member of the Artillery Corps, and was an expert on engraving and worked in this field until he was drafted into the IDF in April 1966. He was not able to go through half of his compulsory service because the Six-Day War broke out in which he fell in a battle that took place in Sheikh Zweid in Sinai on 26 June 1967, When the half-track, where he was traveling, was hit by a mortar shell, buried in the military emergency cemetery in Bari and later transferred to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul military cemetery.
