Goldberg, Aryeh

Aryeh, son of Dvora and Dov Goldberg, was born on April 16, 1931 in Haifa. He participated in the War of Independence as a machine gunner in the first Palmach regiment. He was transferred to the southern front and in the battle of Faluja on the 21st of Tammuz 5708 (July 28, 1948), was hit in the back by an enemy bullet and fell. On the 13th of Adar II (21.3.1951) he was put to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa.
