Gol-Shauloff, Ben-Zion
Son of-Zion, son of Tzruya and Israel Gol-Shauloff, was born in 1892 in Meshed, Iran. He immigrated to Palestine three years later and his father and two brothers bought a plot of land outside the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem, where they built as pioneers. On November 20, 1946, he was killed on duty as a guard in the explosion of an income tax building in Jerusalem. He was fifty-four years old when he died. He was laid to rest on the Mount of Olives. He left a wife, three sons and a daughter. The Jerusalem Municipality commemorated a street named after him in the Bukharan neighborhood, near his home.
