Globchik, Hanina


Son of Rachel and Moshe Shmuel. He was born in 1901 in Bintova, Russia, where he studied in a room and later in a Russian elementary school, and in 1927 immigrated to Eretz Israel and settled with his parents and his family in Rishon Letzion, where he joined the Hagana organization. In the bloody events of 1936-1939, he enlisted on behalf of the Hagana for the Jewish Settlements Police, and at the same time went to the Negev to drill wells in the Negev and the real aim of the drillers was oil exploration. Arab gangs occasionally attacked the workers and, upon completion of the work, returned to his colony and set out to guard as a patrol within the boundaries of the head On the 17th of Elul 5739 (13.9.1938), standing on his guard at the Rishon Le-Zion border and Beit Dagon, he was shot and killed and laid to rest in the Rishon Letzion cemetery. Old men, four brothers and three sisters, and his memory was immortalized in the book “The History of Rishon Le-Zion”.
