Glicksman, Yehuda Aryeh-Leib (“Lolek”)


Son of-Shlomo-Natan and Chaya. He was born on April 4, 1925, in the city of Vilan in Poland, to a family of Hasidim and landowners, and from his childhood he bought from his father the desire to settle in Israel and the inclination towards agriculture. In 1945 he was transferred to a labor camp near Stuttgart, where he completed his studies in an art school and was an expert in fine mechanics. He volunteered to the Zahal when he arrived in 1948 and was sent straight to the front. On the 26th of Av 5709 (August 21, 1949) he died and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery at Nahalat Yitzhak.
