Glick, Yoram


Yoram, son of Esther and Joseph, was born on 17.5.1953 in Tel Aviv. He studied at the “Yosef Galili” elementary school in Tel Aviv and at the Ort Yad Singelovsky school in Tel Aviv. He was a good student and aloved by his teachers and friends. he was a very sociable boy and during his years he participated in various activities of his school and toured the country. He loved literature and reading. In the vocational school, he studied mechanical engineering and was considered a good student. He had an artist’s hand, excelled in a technical sketch, and he was able to perform meticulous and meticulous work. Yoram was drafted into the IDF in mid-May 1972 and assigned to the Armored Corps. Thanks to his physical ability and technical knowledge, he successfully completed a series of professional courses in the IAF, including a tank commander course and attained the rank of sergeant. During his service he participated in operational activities and was awarded the “Operational Service Award”. Yoram burst out with his unit in the southern sector of the Suez Canal when the Yom Kippur War broke out. A few hours after the fighting broke out Yoram felt in his tank to Maoz, who had been attacked by the Egyptians on the canal’s edge. On October 6, 1973, in the battle against the Egyptian forces, he was killed and killed while standing in the turret of his tank, he was brought to eternal rest in the Kiryat Shaul cemetery and left behind his parents and two brothers,After his fall, he was promoted to First Sergeant.
