Yitzhak, son of Esther and Pinchas z “l, was born on 22 July 1946 in Gronjow, Poland, and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1950. In Israel, he studied at the Habonim Elementary School in Kiryat Bialik, at the Levinharz High School in Kiryat Motzkin, and completed his BA in Economics and Statistics at the University of Haifa, where he was a good student, loved by his teachers and friends, As a youngster, he was active in the Hanoar Haoved movement and was active in sports, especially in the field of basketball, and was a great player in the sports associations of Tzur Shalom, Maccabi, and Hapoel, but his strength was great not only in physical activity, He was an active member of the Weizmann Institute of Mathematics and spent a lot of time playing chess and even played against artists He was a good and devoted son to his parents, he had respect, and concern for their safety and well-being.
Yitzhak was drafted into the IDF in early August 1966 and assigned to the Golani Brigade. During his service, he served as commander of a post in the Beit She’an Valley and was miraculously saved from the death of the Jordanian shelling of the outpost. Although he was injured several times in training, he insisted on returning to his unit to be together with his friends and to participate in various combat activities with him during his entire service. Then he worked as an economist The Ministry of Absorption, where he devoted himself to finding solutions to the absorption problems and economic problems of new immigrants, completed his undergraduate studies in economics and statistics at the University of Tel Aviv, where he served in the Armored Corps. On October 11, 1973, he was killed in the pursuit of a commando unit of the Egyptians in northern Sinai, he was brought to eternal rest in the Haifa cemetery and left behind his parents and two brothers. In his memory, a scholarship is awarded in his name to poor students, so they can study at Tel Aviv University.
