Glazer, Arie (“Libby”)


Son of Yaakov and Jenny. He was born on June 10, 1921, in the city of Dej, Romania, after his entire family perished in the death camps of Auschwitz and immigrated to Israel in 1947. Here he earned a living as a craftsman in the Solel Boneh and joined the Palmach ; He also participated in the War of Independence and even in the Sinai Campaign. On the eve of the Six-Day War, called to reserve duty in reserve duty and on the 27th day of Iyar 5727 (June 6, 1967), he fell while guarding the IDF’s property in Afula, leaving a wife and a child to rest in the military cemetery in Afula.
