Giv’ul, Aryeh (Areleh)


Son of Yitzchak and Chava, a veteran of Kibbutz Ein Harod Ihud. He was born on the 7th of Av, July 24, 1947, in Kibbutz Aryeh. He studied at the Ein Harod and Tal Yosef secondary schools and after graduating from high school, he joined the professional track. He was among the most cheerful of the group, who loved to laugh, and among those who were good at dancing. He excelled in agriculture, and was among the best in the school. He joined the Navy in November 1966. At the outbreak of the Six-Day War, he was among the warriors in the south. On the 18th of Kislev, December 9, 1968, he fell in the line of duty. He was laid to rest in the cemetery in his kibbutz. The commander of his unit wrote a letter of condolence to his family, “We are proud of his joy, his loyalty, his kindness, and his kindness to his friends… He came out and volunteered for difficulties and was daring in missions, whether in training or in battle.(See Hebrew translation for full eulogy.) After he fell, a booklet appeared in his memory called “Arieh”.
