Son of Moshe and Rachel. He was born on May 3, 1947 in Givat Brenner. He studied and completed his studies at the kibbutz school. He was an outstanding student, quiet in nature and gentle. That’s why he loved the music so much and for many hours his voice would come out of his room. He devoted little time to the humanities in the school, and in the real professions he did not have to make any effort because his sharp intellect would have easily found a solution to every problem. He was a member of the kibbutz division and of the Hapoel basketball team Givat Brenner. He liked to go on trips with his friends and also to take trips as a guide and in his estate many pictures remained. Yochai was modest in his manner, pleasant and always smiling. He was careful about his language of speech and his writings excelled in original expressions and formulation rich and Yaffa. In mid-November 1966 he enlisted in the IDF and volunteered to serve in the Paratroopers Brigade, despite his parents’ objections, and during his military service Yochai developed into a serious and responsible man, who was proud of his role in the army and was loved by his friends and subordinates. He was a veteran paratrooper and an excellent sergeant, who underwent very difficult tests and took part in many activities of the paratroopers, keeping in touch with the family and the home, by letters, from which we radiated light and love. After his regular service, he returned home and was hired at the Ramon factory, where he was discovered as a dynamic young man He was very interested in the machines and was deeply interested in and studied, until he understood the meaning of things, and because of this he succeeded so well in his work at the “Ramon.” In the first week of July 1970 he was called to reserve duty.
