Son of Chaya and Avshalom (son of Arieh Gissin, one of the founders of Rishon Letzion) was born on March 5, 1926, in Rishon Letzion. He graduated from elementary school, studied mechanics and frameworks, and worked in his profession. He was a member of the Hagana, one of the best members of Maccabi Hatzair and Maccabi, and was ready at any time to come to the aid of his friends (known as “White Arka”). Was an outstanding athlete; he had a championship in tennis and table tennis; He was one of the best soccer players in Rishon Letzion and later in Tel Aviv and participated in the “Maccabi Eretz Israel” team during his performances in Cyprus and was a member of the Maccabi orchestra in Rishon LeZion, where he served as a guard in his city. , But more than any illness, he was disturbed by the thought that his friends would go to fight and he would sit in the house, ignoring his illness and hiding from others, joining the Givati ​​Brigade, which fought in the south and took part in the conquest of Sarafand and the rest of the brigade’s operations. The first was the “An-Far” operation, with the aim of breaking through the Negev, but the Egyptians violated it Fuga attacked and attacked the night of July 7-8, 1948. In the course of the operation, our forces attacked the following night, the night of July 8-9, and the Givati ​​forces occupied the outpost of Ibdis, northeast of the Negev. And the fighters of Givati, in a stubborn defense, repulsed these attacks, in which Aryeh fell on the 3rd of Tammuz 5707 (10.7.1948) and was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Beer Tuvia.
