Giori, Isaac


Son of Catherine and Herman. He was born in Hungary and from there immigrated to Eretz Israel. During the Second World War he enlisted in the British Army and was assigned to the Transportation Corps. In December 1940 he was sent to Greece with troops to assist the Greeks in their fight against Italians and Germans. At the end of April 1941, the British troops in Greece surrendered to the Germans, and most of their men were captured. Among them was Yitzhak. On December 25, 1944, he died in the course of his duties and was laid to rest in the British Military Cemetery in Athens, Greece, where he was found The Ninth of Tevet 5765 His burial place is unknown.
