Ginsberg, Oded (Oded)
Son of Yosef and Ruth, one of the founders of Kibbutz Dalia. He was born on March 4, 1943 in the kibbutz. After graduating from elementary school in his kibbutz, he moved to the “Harry Ephraim” educational institution. In 1967, he began his studies at the Ulpana for the members of the group at the Ruppin Midreshet, where he studied in the orchards industry. He worked in agriculture and especially in diseases of fruit trees and their damage. Not only did the mechanical side interest him, because his love of the trees was great. In general he was rooted in the soil and therefore prepared for higher studies in agriculture (agronomy). He was kind and kindhearted to his contemporaries, and he smiled kindly to his elders. Abundance of love for all and loved life. In August 1961 he was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces and completed his service as a lieutenant, but he was prepared to sacrifice his life in order to save his comrades-in-arms, as was the case in the Six Day War, Who was killed during the second day of the fighting, was on May 6, 1967. He was buried in the military cemetery in Nahariya and was later taken to the eternal rest of the cemetery in Dalia. His name was also published by Dalia, and a booklet was dedicated to him in memory of the heroes of the “Barak” Kibbutz Artzi who fell during the Six Day War, brought a special page history.
