Gindi, Aharon

Was born on the 4th of Elul, September 1, 1927 in the city of Aleppo, Syria and immigrated to Israel in 1945. He lived with his family in the Hatikva neighborhood of Tel Aviv. On March 31, 1948, a large convoy was organized near Hulda. A delay in organizing the convoy due to mishaps and mud on the road made it possible for the the Arab forces to organize and block the path. The convoy was forced to withdraw during the battle, and Aharon was killed on the 20th of Adar 2, 5708 (March 31, 1948), and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery in Hulda.
