Gimpelman (Carol), Uri

Son of Yaakov and Berta. Born in 1950 in Haifa, he was the only son of his parents, and after graduating from the Deganya elementary school he continued to study at the municipal high school in Tirat Hacarmel, where he had ambitions and dreams for the future. In early February 1969, Uri was drafted into the IDF and assigned to the Artillery Corps. He had served only a little more than a year in the army, but his life was over. On April 5, 1971, he fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
