Gimpel, Shimon Baruch


Son of Moritz and Esther Golda. He was born on August 22, 1927, in the city of Lyspitz, Romania. He received an education in his home country and was also a member of the Dror youth movement. After he survived the horrors of the war, he succeeded in immigrating to Israel with his family in 1964 and settled in Kfar Ata. As a man of labor and work from his youth, he was immediately accepted to work at the Ata factory in his home. He joined the IDF at the end of March 1965, and because of his age he was transferred immediately after basic training to serve in the reserves, where he was loyal and loyal to both his superiors and his friends. C. (5.1.1973), died during his service and was put to rest at the military cemetery in Haifa. He left a wife and a son.
