Ben Kemal and Aafia. Born on 16 July 1974 in the village of Majar in the Galilee. The son of a Druze family from the village. His father served for many years in the Border Police and retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Brother to Hussam, Rim, Rami, Hakmat, Wisam and Rana. Another brother in the family, the elder brother, died of a serious illness when Roni was about a year old. Roni attended elementary school in Majar and went on to the Amal Samson High School, a vocational high school in the Shimshon camp. During all his years of study he played sports and participated in various activities. He played soccer, participated in the Gadna training course, and in the “Madatzim” course. Roni excelled in pulling a rope. He joined the Israeli national team in this sport, and in this capacity he represented the country in world championships: in the Netherlands in 1990 and in Ireland in 1992. Roni, always full of energy and ambition, invested and continued his participation in many sports. Over the years he has participated in several tournaments and tournaments in various sports, has achieved great achievements and won many medals and certificates of appreciation. In August 1993, Roni enlisted in the IDF, serving as a combat soldier in the “Harav” Battalion (the Druze battalion) and later as a lieutenant colonel, sergeant and corporal until his release. His commanders described him as “disciplined and serious, with a high personal level, with training and self-discipline.” When he was a recruits’ recruits, his soldiers wrote him at the end of the runway: “You are the strongest commander, running everyone passes. The secret we never wanted to discover was that only with you did we like to stay on Saturdays. “And Roni wrote to his soldiers:” … We went through a long, difficult and unforgettable period together. And even if it was difficult, always remember the saying ‘there is nothing to resist’ … I believe in you that everything you have learned will do the best. You were ’10’ of poisoned soldiers, and good people. And I congratulate you and proud of you for all the high achievements you have achieved in basic training … “After his discharge from the IDF, Roni worked as a security guard in the Jewish Agency. He later worked as a security officer at the Mercure Hotel in Tiberias. In this work he received great appreciation from his superiors. In April 2001, the hotel manager wrote to him: “In recent months, the security department at the hotel has stood out in its day-to-day operations and on missions beyond the current events at the hotel. During that period, Ronnie studied in a waitress and restaurateurs course in order to integrate into the hotel. Roni did not neglect his involvement in sports, and continued to play football in the Betar Majar team and was a top player in the team and contributed to her success and to the second division in April 2002. In April 2002, Roni decided to return to regular service in the IDF, Duty. His commander, Lt. Col. Nizar, said: “Roni showed remarkable initiative and seriousness, and captivated everyone with his pleasant nature, courtesy and the joy of life that characterized him. Due to his excellent soldier and excellent commander, Roni received the position of sergeant of the platoon of the auxiliary company. All this, despite the short time he served in the career army. A month after his return to the army, Roni married Rita, and the couple settled in Kfar Magar, and on 4 August 2002 Roni was killed in a terrorist attack in Meron. At the junction of Sheva Junction and bus 361 from Haifa to Tzfat, he was on his way to his base, near the Meron Junction, where a suicide bomber blew himself up and dozens of passengers were killed and nine were killed. Roni was twenty-eight and Roni was killed. He was laid to rest in the military section of the cemetery in the village of Majar. Survived by his wife, parents, four brothers and two sisters. At the ceremony, Roni’s commander, Lt. Col. Anwar Saab, said: “The loss is great. Ronnie was a smiling friend, a soccer fan, a friend, a gentleman and a brother to all of us, his name engraved in our hearts. Brothers and True Friends, Commanders and Soldiers of Trend 300 “.
