Ghanem, Faraj


Born on March 25, 1975, in Beit Jann in the Upper Galilee, one of the nine children of the family. Faraj began his studies in the elementary school in his village and during his studies there joined the Scouts movement. Faraj continued his studies at the village high school and completed ten years of study. He completed his 11th and 12th grade studies at the school in the Pilon camp near Rosh Pinna, in the automotive mechanics course. Prior to his induction into the IDF, Faraj underwent a pre-military driving course for vehicles up to 15 tons, and was a sports enthusiast, especially in soccer, hunting, music and celebrations. ‘To the IDF. At the end of basic training, he was placed as a driver in the Aryeh formation in the Jordan Valley. During his service he underwent many courses and was trained to drive a knight, a blazer and a jeep, and to transport ammunition, fuel and more. In the course of his service, Faraj received a certificate of appreciation from the brigade commander for his outstanding service, and at the end of August 1996 he was discharged from the IDF with the rank of sergeant. His cousin, Suhair, and their daughter, Simar Faraj was a modest man, innocent and quiet, loving a man and a friend for all his acquaintances, he was kind and helpful to everyone and so generous that he prevented himself from doing things for the good of his friends and friends. In 1999, he joined the career army as a light car driver in the Jordan Valley, and his commanders say that he was a diligent and obedient soldier, loved the service and always tried to do his job in the best possible way. Was preparing to continue his studies at the university or at one of the colleges, and for this purpose he began to prepare himself for the psychometric exam, but did not receive it.30 On 30 October 1999, Maj. Gen. Faraj Ghanem fell in the line of duty and he is twenty-four years old. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in his village, Beit Jann. Survived by his wife, daughter, parents and eight brothers and sisters – Joseph, Kamalia, Mazal, Manira, Suheila, Hiam, Nahi and Ahmad.
