Gersh, Simon

Son of Chava and Abraham, was born on 19.1.1960 in Kishinev, in the Soviet Union. In 1973 Simone immigrated to Israel with his family. He was drafted into the IDF in mid-November 1978, and was assigned to serve in the Ordnance Corps, where he completed various professional courses and was promoted to the rank of sergeant. On 27.1.1980, Sergeant Simon fell in the line of duty and was brought to rest in the cemetery in Nahariya. He left behind his parents, brother and sister.
