German, Eyal
Son of Yael and Yosef. He was born on the 7th of Cheshvan 5729 (7.11.1968) in Ramat Gan. When he was eleven, he moved with his family to Herzliya, where he studied at the Lev-Tov elementary school and later at the Rishonim High School, which he completed in 1986. Eyal was gifted with imagination and rare memory. He built for himself a rich inner world, expressed in writing imaginative stories, and poems. From a poem he wrote in the seventh grade about King Saul “… because in the soul was his heroism / and his most intelligent Lev / he is just and he / she is the boy whose lies – / never will know / that only space he knows / and keep his sheep … / . ” He studied piano and liked to listen to music. During his vacations from the army, he used to sit and play pieces he learned by ear. He devoted a lot of time to his hobby: computer software. Eyal is considered among his friends as an introverted and talented child. When he joined the army in mid-February 1987, he underwent a radical change. Eyal chose to serve in a combat unit because he believed that this was the right way to serve his country.
