In 1997 he immigrated to Israel with his parents and his family settled in Upper Nazareth, Two years before the aliyah, he acquired a profession, a car electrician, and at the time he studied at the Ulpan in Kibbutz Ramat Yochanan, where he worked for a year at the Palatov-Palram factory in Kiryat Ata. Alexander was drafted into the IDF in January 1999 and was stationed in an Air Force unit. Thanks to his good and friendly nature, he had many friends and his circle of acquaintances grew wider. He used to help anyone in need even without being asked, went out with friends on trips or performances in Tel Aviv and was very happy when his sister Emma, ​​who treated her gently and devotedly, was born. Alexander was promoted to sergeant. His commander, who emphasized Alexander’s great love for his parents and especially his little sister, his mother, estimated him in the following words: “Alex was a mature and wise man, he was well integrated into the unit and formed good relations with all the commanders and soldiers of the unit. A humor that tried to make the best of his life, Alex will be remembered as a smiling young man who helped his family and friends at all times. ” On the 25th of Kislev 5762 (25.11.2001), Sergeant Alexander German was killed while serving in the military section of the civil cemetery in Nazareth Illit, aged twenty-two, and was survived by his parents and sister.
