Asher, son of Yosef and Miriam Genut, was born on May 21, 1946 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, and he immigrated to Israel in 1952. During the Six-Day War, he served as a platoon commander and on the first day of the battles, on the 26th of Iyar 5727 (5.6.1967) Asher fell. He was buried in the military cemetery in Bari and later moved to eternal rest in the military cemetery on Mount Herzl in Jerusalem.
