Genghina, Yehezkel

Yehezkel, son of Tifche and Moshe Genghina, was born in 1950 in Iraq. He immigrated to Israel at the age of one year, and the family lived in Tel Aviv. In 1968 Yehezkel was drafted as a fighter in the Border Police. Later on, Yehezkel was apprehended for the reinforcement of the Border Police forces in Shechem, due to the organization of a terrorist squad infiltrated from Jordan and assimilated into the population. On June 11, 1969, a Border Police force set out to arrest terrorists and wanted persons, and a battle ensued between the terrorists and the force, in which Yekhezkel was injured in the head and transferred by helicopter to Tel Hashomer Hospital. He was buried at the cemetery in Kiryat Shaul, Tel Aviv, leaving parents, three brothers and a sister.
