Gendelman, Zalman
Son of Aizik and Yente. He was born in Bresci, Poland, in December 1929. He completed his studies in elementary school, and was deported with his family to a concentration camp in Transdnistria in 1941. He escaped from the camp twice until he reached Romania. In 1944 he moved to the ranks of the IDF and took part in the battles of Jaffa, Latrun, Rosh Ha’ayin, Migdal Tzedek, Ein Gedi, Masada, Beit-Guvrin, Arab Kfar-Saba, and so forth. From Beit-Guvrin, he returned to Tel Hai with the battalion to the Upper Galilee. Was found with his fellow fighters in her voice but was among the few who survived this battle. On the 9th of Tammuz, 5709 (9.7.1949), he fell while carrying out his duties; The Dan members moved his body, from where they fell in Tel al-Qadi to them, and there they brought him for burial. On the 27th of Adar 5706 (16.3.1950) he was put to rest in the Nachlat Yitzhak military cemetery.
