Gelman, Eliav

Eliav, son of Sarah and David Gelman, was born on March 28, 1985, in Kiryat Arba, Hebron. Eliav served in the reserves. His last position was an officer in the air force’s Eliav married Rinat. The couple lived in Karmei Tzur together with their two children. Eliav fell in battle in Gush Etzion, while returning from reserve duty on the 24th of Adar 5772 (February 24, 2016). He was thirty-one years old. He was laid to rest in the Kfar Etzion cemetery. He is survived by his pregnant wife, two sons, parents, three brothers and two sisters. His third son was born after his fall. After his fall, Eliav was promoted to Major.
