Gefen (Confitin), Haim

Son of Ayala and Zalman was born in Tel Yosef on June 8, 1988. He finished 12th grade in the local joint school, and when he grew up, he became one of the kibbutz workers. Haim was always serious, self-contained and responsible, one of the first volunteers to the Palmach and served in the “Paratroopers” battalion of the Harel Brigade, during which he was sent to the port of Haifa. He participated in the battles of the “Poratzim” battalion in Jerusalem, in Nebi Samwil, in the Latrun area, in the conquest of Katamon and in the Pritza of Mount Zion. (7.8.1948), died in mysterious and tragic circumstances in the battalion’s camp in Nazareth and was brought to eternal rest in the cemetery at Tel Yosef.
