Gedaliah, Rahamim


Rahamim, son of Ayala and Yaakov, was born in Petah Tikva on August 20, 1944. Rahamim was drafted into the Israel Defense Forces in mid-May 1962 and assigned to the Armored Corps, where he completed a tank artillery course and was sent to serve in the 7th Brigade, In the Six Day War He worked as a metalworker in a tin factory in Petah Tikva, and later married his girlfriend Michal, and together they established there home in the Mahaneh Yehuda neighborhood, and when the Yom Kippur War broke out, Rahamim rushed to his unit and took part in the battles of containment and break-up (18.10.1973), during the break-in to the area of ​​the Abu Sultan Camp west of the Suez Canal, his tank was hit and he was killed, he was brought to rest – In the cemetery in Petah Tikva. Survived by a wife, parents, three brothers and three sisters. After his fall, he was promoted to sergeant.
