Gecko, Amnon

Son of Yaakov and Bruria. Born in Haifa on April 28, 1944, he completed his studies at the Daughter of Galim High School, and in November 1962 he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Israel Air Force. He reached the rank of sergeant and was a technical instructor at the flying school. Ehud was on the staff of the school’s teachers and instructors and all its students. He fulfilled all his duties with devotion and loyalty, as the school commander attests to him in a letter he sent to his parents after Amnon fell in the course of his duty on Wednesday, October 29, 1965. He was brought to eternal rest in the military cemetery in Haifa.
