Gazalein, Mamduh
Son of Hemda and Salim. Was born on October 9, 1950 in the village of Mazarib in the Jezreel Valley. Mamduh joined the IDF in September 1970 and served as a search fugitive in the infantry of the Northern Command, where he underwent a series of professional courses and military training and advanced on the ranks, and his commanders noted that he was “a good tracker and a good, disciplined and decent soldier.” Hebrew as part of the IDF. When the Yom Kippur War broke out he fought with his unit in the north. After the war, in November 1973, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant, and two years later was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. His commanders commended him for his devotion and skill. In December 1979, he was promoted to the rank of Major-General, and in his many posts along the northern border, he toured the perimeter fence in the Upper Galilee, and on 31 October 1982 toured an army jeep around the perimeter fence near Kfar Ruppin. Was laid to rest in the village of Mazarib, leaving behind a pregnant wife, four daughters, two sons, parents, two brothers and two sisters
