Son of Kopel z “l and Dina, was born on 17.6.1946 in Romania and immigrated to Israel with his family in 1948. Eliahu attended the Yona Hanavi elementary school and completed his studies at the Municipal High School And at the age of 8, he studied violin and after only 8 months of study he gave a first concert, and when he entered high school, he stopped his musical studies for fear that they would harm school while preventing high grades. At the high school, when he was 14 years old, he was sent with a student delegation to Cyprus, but at first he refused to travel – not to burden the parents with expensive expenses, and only after a great deal of persuasion he was convinced and left. He was accepted to the Air Force Technical School and graduated with honors from an airborne equipment technician course, and he was a diligent and diligent young man, Jaffa, where he played for several years in February 1996. After completing his training at the IAF Technical School, he was drafted into the IDF and served in the Israel Air Force. After basic training, he was placed in an air force unit as an aviation technician in an airborne service, and during his military service he was sent abroad several times for various technical studies. At the end of his regular service, he volunteered for the career army and advanced quickly in his position and rank. His commanders admired him as “a dedicated soldier who carries out his duties carefully while constantly promoting his level, with leadership, responsible, disciplined and decent ability.” In 1972 Elijah married Rachel, and a year later his daughter Yafit was born. During the Yom Kippur War, he worked for a day without rest. When his colleagues told him to rest, he replied: “How can I rest when other men on the line do not rest and get killed, and there they need all our work.” When his son was born, he was the happiest man. He was modest in his demands, never asking anything for himself, always for the sake of the family and for the perfect work. As an exemplary soldier with excellent achievements in many fields, he was approved to study at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Tel Aviv University. He was very successful in his studies and successfully passed all the exams. On July 21, 1976, Eliahu fell during his service. He was laid to rest in the military cemetery in Holon. He left behind a wife, daughter, son and mother.
