Gary (Grishner), Aldo


Aldo (Shlomo), son of Tirtza and Avraham, was born on 9/11/1946 in Cordoba, Argentina, He joined the Nahal Brigade in September 1966. After completing his service he served as a combat soldier in Kibbutz Hatzerim and was trained as a combat soldier in the War of Attrition, and at the end of September 1969 he was discharged from the army. In this unit, he was called for periods of reserve service. After his discharge, he joined Kibbutz Hatzerim where he did part of his service in the Nahal Brigade and worked in the plantation branch. He was devoted to his work and his home on the kibbutz. He saw the unique way of life on the kibbutz as a way of life that he tried to realize and make the most of it. He married Ronit, his girlfriend, whom he had known during his military service. Their daughters Efrat and Ayelet were born in Hatzerim and they had a loving father. During the Yom Kippur War, his unit participated in the battles of containment and infiltration against the Egyptians in the Sinai. On the 15th of Tishrei 5734 (October 15, 1973), his unit came out to rescue the IDF soldiers who were besieged in the “Budapest” stronghold, and was brought to eternal rest in the Hatzerim cemetery,
