Garshi, Ezra

Son of Yahya and Naomi. He was born in 1948 in Sana’a, Yemen, and immigrated to Israel in Operation Magic Carpet in 1949. Ezra attended the Brenner School in Herzliya and was a member of the Hanoar Haoved Vehalomed movement, He was drafted into the IDF in November 1965. A devoted soldier was honest and efficient in his work, as his commander wrote about him in a letter of condolences to his parents, and because of these qualities he was accepted by all the soldiers of the unit and everyone loved and admired him One of the best, most devoted, and pleasant soldiers in the unit. Died in his illness on 18.2.1968 and was brought to rest at the military cemetery in Netanya.
