After basic training, he was sent to the Morag Brigade and served as a reconnaissance commander in the town of Petah-Rafiah, then on the northern border in operational service, and eventually served as a paratrooper battalion commander in charge of the communications equipment in the armored personnel carriers. 1977.) In a letter of condolence to the bereaved family, his commander wrote: “Gadi was a devoted soldier, acceptable to his comrades. He served as a member of the first group of the Kinneret tribe that left for Nahal. He liked to sail the Kinneret in the sailboat. In summer camps and trips he would help with everything. Gadi liked to sing and joke. His teacher wrote: “Modesty and good-natured characterized him, he was enthusiastic about the idea of settlement and for the core of his horn.” Gadi was the man of action, a man of the slogan “Get up and act,” as his students and friends remember him.
