Son of Zippora and Menahem. He was born on June 20, 1916 in South Africa. He was killed by a stray bullet and brought to eternal rest in a military ceremony at the military cemetery in Diego-Suarez. Two Jewish pilots participated in the funeral and one of them said “Kaddish”. Israel left parents, two sisters and a brother.
